As part of e-Government and e-Services projects sponsored by Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Banque Misr and Egypt Telecom co-operated together in launching the first Business to Consumer (B2C) e-Commerce site for telephone bill payment over the internet (local, national and international calls), using local and international credit cards (VISA and Master) and deploying SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technique to secure card information.
